Even I, find it hard to believe my first post was on John and Kate + 8. The whole situation has gotten so sordid and circus like, that I haven't posted about them since. But they are hard to ignore.
Having been a fan of the show, before any of this , I'm resentful now, of all this new found twisted attention. Even I have my limits. It was so much sweeter, when I actually believed the parents were sincere and normal, trying to do their best to raise their kids. The focus used to be on the kids . Their wide eyed innocence and absolute cuteness is what made me a fan. Well thats all gone. Now I sit here, knowing so much more. Talk about how almost everything was staged (and yes, I realize ALL reality shows are staged, but I thought this was different, after all, it involved many small children)-birthday parties, trips their vow renewals!. And how for Kate it became all about the freebies and once, she sent back a mini van they had gotten for free because she didn't like the color! And as much as I can understand how John has built up resentment for Kate who constantly belittles him, it's obvious he was having an affair. There are too many clues lying around for anyone to ignore. So now, instead of watching a show about a bunch of adorable little kids growing up normally, I sit there analyzing John and Kate's words and body language . She's gotten SO much nicer to him NOW. Now that she knows, one, he totally doesn't care about her anymore, and she really blew it, and two, now she's got EVERYONE's attention, and she's going to milk it for all it's worth! Love how in 1 week, 2 bikini shots( oh yes, she got a free tummy tuck too) have surfaced, and it wasn't staged...AT ALL. Now physchologist's are weighing in on all the damadging effects being on the show and all it's repercussions will have on the kids in the future. Great.
